Marindust manufacture cyclone rated flagpoles with engineering certification for excessive wind ratings.
Any location that is prone to higher than normal wind speeds (especially cyclone prone areas) should be installing a cyclone rated flagpole. Many of our customers are large mining companies such as RIO Tinto, Saracen, Newmont, BHP Billiton, FMG, Barrick Gold and Chevron due to the nature of high winds at large mine locations.

Specifications
- Manufactured from one-piece, 125mm 6063 T6 High-Tensile marine grade aluminium tube conforming to AS1664-1
- Spun-tapered for the top section of pole
- UV-stabilised heavy-duty White powder coat finish as standard to AS3715-2002
(Dulux Pearl white as standard, other powder coat colours available or anodised silver)
- UV-stabilized nylon mushroom finial and flag clips
- UV-stabilised 5mm polyester halyard rope
- Hot dipped galvanised steel spigot with flange base plate (AS4100 and AS 1554.1)
- Nylon bushes fitted to spigot (to prevent electrolysis between the dissimilar metals)
- M20 hot dipped galvanised steel bolt cage with twin nuts and washers
- Engineering Certification in accordance with AS1170.2 and AS1170.4 Wind Load Standards
Internal Halyard Model:
- Weighted necklace, encased in UV-stabilized materials
- Internal lock-away halyard rope, accessible via a vandal resistant hatch door with a stainless steel locking screw
- Internal aluminium ‘Clam’ cleat
External Halyard Model:
- UV-Stabilised nylon horn cleat
